Algeria is interested in concluding an intergovernmental agreement with Ukraine on cooperation in tourism and traditional crafts, which is currently under consideration by the parties.
This was reported by Press service of the Embassy of Ukraine in Algeria following a meeting between Ambassador Maksym Subh and the new Minister of Tourism, Traditional Crafts and Family Economy of Algeria, Mohamed Hamidou. It is noted that during the meeting, the Algerian official was, in particular, acquainted with the list of international tourism events planned to be held in Ukraine in 2021 after the normalization of the epidemic situation. In this context, the ambassador expressed hope that the Algerian ministerial and business delegations will participate in the International Exhibition "Ukraine - Travel and Tourism" (UITT) in Kyiv, scheduled for the end of March 2021.
"The Algerian Minister expressed his interest in sending an authorized delegation to attend the above-mentioned event and confirmed his readiness to involve Ukrainian companies operating in the hotel and recreational business in the implementation of relevant projects for the development of tourism infrastructure in Algeria. In addition, the Minister emphasized his interest in concluding an intergovernmental agreement on cooperation in the field of tourism and traditional crafts with our country as soon as possible, which is currently under consideration by the parties," the statement said.
