    Cyprus plans to open its borders to Ukrainians in March.

    The Cypriot government has adopted a new plan to gradually resume air traffic restricted by the pandemic: starting in March 2021, Ukrainians will be able to arrive on the island with two PCR tests.

    The new rules for the arrival of foreigners will come into force on March 1, 2021. In particular, the authorities have changed the names of the categories that are allowed to enter the country:

    • "Green zone  - all EU countries; from there, tourists can fly to Limassol and Paphos airports without restrictions;
    • "Orange zone  - countries of the European Economic Area, in particular the UK and Switzerland; before boarding a plane to Cyprus, you must show a negative PCR test result taken within 72 hours before arrival;
    • "Red" zone  - non-EU countries, including Ukraine, Russia, Israel, the UAE, Lebanon, Jordan, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, and Belarus. Citizens of these countries must take two PCR tests: one 72 hours before departure and the second at the airport upon arrival. Self-isolation is not provided;
    • "Gray" zone  - all countries that were not included in the previous three categories. Of these, only Cypriot citizens, foreigners with a residence permit in Cyprus and holders of special permits (for example, close relatives of Cypriot citizens) will be allowed to arrive. Upon arrival, they will have to spend 14 days in isolation.

    However, until March, the old rules will apply, according to which  Cyprus  divides the world's countries into 3 categories: A, B and C.
