Hongkong and Shanghai Hotels, Limited (HSH), the owner and operator of The Peninsula Hotels, is pleased to announce that Mr. Philip Lawrence Kaduri, a non-executive director of the Company, will be appointed Deputy Chairman of the Board of Directors, succeeding Mr. Andrew Clifford Winer Brandler, effective January 1, 2025. Mr. Kadouri will also be appointed to the Executive Committee effective January 1, 2025.
Mr. Andrew Brandler, Non-Executive Deputy Chairman, will retire as Deputy Chairman of the Board of Directors effective December 31, 2024. Mr. Brandler will remain a non-executive director, chairman of the finance committee and a member of the audit, remuneration and executive committees. There have been no changes to the terms of Mr. Brandler's appointment as a non-executive director following Mr. Brandler's resignation as Deputy Chairman of the Board.
Mr. Philip Kadoori was appointed to the Board of Directors of HSH in December 2017. He oversees a number of the Kaduri family's interests in Hong Kong and overseas. He is a non-executive director and member of the Sustainability Committee of CLP Holdings Limited; an independent non-executive director of CK Hutchison Holdings Limited and a director of Sir Elly Kadoorie & Sons Limited. Mr. Kadoorie holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications from Boston University and is an FAA commercial pilot. He is the son of HSH's Chairman, the Honorable Sir Michael Kadoorie, and is 32 years old.
Mr. Kadouri said: "It is both an honor and a responsibility to assume the role of Deputy Chairman at a company with such a rich heritage, in which my family has been involved for four generations. I am deeply grateful to my father for his continued guidance and support, as well as for the invaluable support of the HSH board and management team."
