Emirates is now inviting First Class passengers to enjoy the rare Dom Pérignon Rosé Vintage 2009 champagne served on all routes from Dubai. This famous vintage has consistently received extremely high marks and will be offered in First Class for the next few months. Through an exclusive partnership with Moët Hennessy, Emirates is the only airline to have access to this special vintage wine directly from the winery.
Emirates serves Dom Pérignon Vintage First Class passengers on all global routes, but also regularly introduces special vintages, offering the opportunity to taste some of the rarest and most coveted wines and champagnes in the world, such as Dom Pérignon Rosé Vintage 2009.
Dom Pérignon Vintage and Dom Pérignon Rosé Vintage are produced only in exceptional years, but they reflect very different interpretations of the same prestigious terroir. The classic Dom Pérignon Vintage is a white champagne that blends Pinot Noir and Chardonnay in almost equal proportions. It focuses on purity and precision, offering a refined, mineral profile with notes of citrus, stone fruit and toasted brioche. Its structure is supple and harmonious, with a creamy mousse and a long, elegant finish.
In contrast, Dom Pérignon Rosé Vintage is a bolder expression. It contains a higher proportion of Pinot Noir, including still red wine made from the same grapes, which gives it a delicate color and additional structure. While both wines have the characteristic Dom Pérignon balance and depth, the Vintage offers bright finesse, while the Rosé adds intensity, sensuality and bold character.
Notes on tasting Dom Pérignon Rosé 2009
The 2009 Dom Pérignon Rosé is the result of a particularly generous growing season, which allowed the estate to produce a wine of deep ripeness, textural richness and controlled power. It is sourced from Grand Cru vineyards such as Ai and Bouzy, with a significant proportion of still Pinot Noir added during blending.
After 12 years of cellar maturation, the result shows depth and aromatic layering, while maintaining the wine's vibrant tension. The 2009 reveals an expressive bouquet of rose petals, orange oil and saffron, followed by bright notes of raspberry, cherry, black currant and fig, developing to deeper tones of licorice and gingerbread. The palate is soft and enveloping, with ripe, fleshy fruit and a supple structure, finishing with persistent sweetness and a memorable tactile impression.
First class passengers can find out if Dom Pérignon Rosé 2009 will be served on their flight by checking the "What's on your flight" option on www.emirates.com or in the Emirates app.
