From March 3 to 5, 2026, ITB Berlin will celebrate its sixtieth anniversary with several special events: from an after-work event and a time travel in a DeLorean to public art and 60-second applause, the industry will honor its past while looking to the future.
What started in 1966 as part of a fair for imported products abroad with nine exhibitors from five countries and 250 visitors has grown into the world's leading travel trade fair with over 5000 exhibitors. Six decades after its launch, ITB Berlin stands stronger than ever for dialogue, innovation and the unifying power of travel. Using its slogan «60 years of heritage», ITB Berlin combines business, networking, content and cultural dialogue across the exhibition area and focuses on key topics for the future of tourism. At the same time, the trade fair offers participants three days of small, unexpected experiences that will evoke emotions and make their visit an unforgettable event. Time to celebrate, socialize and create together
On the first day, March 3, at 15:00, the community will have a special event. ITB Berlin invites everyone to join in a 60-second round of applause throughout the exhibition - in recognition of colleagues, stand neighbors, service staff and everyone who shapes the travel industry. Berlin's neighborhood culture meets international communication in the new ITB Spätiin Hall 7.2c. Inspired by Berlin's iconic corner shops, this venue will be the main meeting point for tours, presentations, happy hours and daily bingo rounds during the fair. On the first day, a unique film performance will unfold here - a creative highlight of the anniversary edition.
Why not end the first day in style: on March 3, 2026, from 17:30 to 19:00, ITB Berlin invites you to the official after-work party «Cheers to 60 Years of Legacy» at the south entrance. Guests will enjoy a complimentary ITB signature drink and toast six decades of industry progress. Berlin-based DJ Chris Becker will set the right mood. The party is open to all ITB attendees and will be the perfect start to a post-show evening in Berlin.
